The information was released on Facebook by Cuban Ambassador in Ankara Alejandro F. Diaz, who added that this is a historic meeting for relations between the two nations, as well as improved ties in terms of Cuba’s marketing and promotion of tourist destinations and potentialities for development.

During his visit, the Cuban diplomat met with the president of economic relations at the Council of Türkiye (DEIK), Nail Olpak, to review the possibilities of improving bilateral relations in the travel industry.

He also made contacts with the secretary general of the delegation, Merih Kepez Omek, and the Türkiye-Americas Director Ecem Mahmotoglu, among other local officials.

The visit allowed Minister Garcia to meet with Turkish tour operators and travel agents and especially with representatives of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (Tursab).

The Cuban official was accompanied by Ambassador Alejandro F. Diaz.
