Orlando welcomed more passengers from Cleveland than any other city during the fall months, and it’s not the only Florida city at the top of the list: Miami came in at No. 3, followed by Fort Myers at No. 5, Tampa at No. 6 and Sarasota at No. 20.

The Sunshine State has long attracted snowbirds and vacationers alike, and that only increased during the pandemic as northerners flocked for the outdoor-conducive southern sun and the state’s laissez-faire approach to COVID restrictions.

Other top destinations from Cleveland during the last three months of the year include New York City, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Phoenix.

Regardless of where travelers end up, those flying through Cleveland should be prepared for a less-than-perfect experience. Air travel satisfaction is down across the country as passenger volume approaches pre-pandemic levels and airlines struggle with labor shortages and inflation. But Cleveland Hopkins is especially struggling; the airport is ranked 16th of its class in this year’s J.D. Power satisfaction report.
