Hyatt is to strengthen its presence within the Balkans region of southeastern Europe with the opening of 5 recent Hyatt Regency properties by 2027.
The US hotel company is scheduled to open Hyatt Regency Zadar in Croatia next 12 months, followed by Hyatt Regency Tirana in Albania’s capital in 2026.
Other recent properties within the region might be Hyatt Regency Palase Resort & Spa, also in Albania, Hyatt Regency Novi Sad in Serbia, and Hyatt Regency Aro Palace Brașov in Romania, that are all scheduled to open in 2027.
This expansion within the region comes after Hyatt Regency opened properties in Pravets in Bulgaria and Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort in Montenegro.
Michel Morauw, Hyatt’s managing director North for the EAME (Europe, Africa and Middle East) region, said: “The expansion on this region with five Hyatt Regency properties in the subsequent few years is indicative of our ambitious approach.”
Elsewhere within the region, Hyatt has recently opened Park Hyatt London River Thames, which marks the upmarket brand’s debut within the UK.
