After the pandemic curtailed travel, many Americans are ready to travel again. According to the U.S. Travel Association, travel spending has slowly been inching up to 2019 levels. Although travel destinations are as individual as the person who is traveling, some travelers are choosing to visit well-known and well-loved destinations that are familiar.
Nancy Schretter, managing editor of the Family Travel Network, told HuffPost:
“I think many destinations become repeat destinations because travelers develop an emotional attachment to these spots through amazing experiences they’ve had there ― often with family and friends. As the bond grows deeper, vacationers simply can’t imagine not coming back.”
The Discoverer.com wanted to know more about these repeat destinations. So it asked readers to write in and name beloved destinations that they return to time and time again. There was no geographic limit to where the destinations could be, so readers wrote in with world-wide destinations. The result was a list of 11 destinations from reader responses.
