What’s more, Nairobi is nearly 30 times cheaper than the most expensive city, Dubai, which costs £930 per night. Airbnb landlords with properties near the Burj Khalifa can make their money back in just a whopping four months.
But, this is only a profitable location for landlords who have a property near the world’s tallest building, as those further away rent for just £181 a night. New York is second for charging the most for Airbnbs, with those staying near Central Park paying £767 per night.
Despite it being cheap for travellers, Cusco is the most unprofitable location for landlords to begin their Airbnb business as it would take over 13 years (4,810 nights) for them to earn their money back here.
