IF you are looking to book a holiday home for your summer holidays then look no further than Spain.
Regions in the popular holiday destination take up seven of the top 10 places for the cheapest places to rent a holiday home in Europe, with nightly rates for August from just £58.

Staycations may have been the buzzword in holidays for the last couple of years, thanks to the pandemic but you might be surprised to learn UK hols are considerably more expensive for this summer than travelling abroad.
The average United Kingdom rental costs £174 a night – making it the second most expensive country in Europe, beaten only by Greece which costs an average of £194 a night in summer.
Holidu, the search engine for holiday rentals, has revealed Cornwall, the Jurassic Coast, Dorset, the Cotswolds and Devon are among the most expensive places to rent accommodation, with the average nightly price starting at over £211 in Devon.
However price hasn’t stopped places being snapped up, as Holidu revealed 64 per cent of British holiday homes are already booked up for summer.
Prices within the UK vary considerably with expensive Cornwall costing £249 a night, to mid-priced Lake District at £169 and Aberdeenshire one of the cheapest at £126.
Although the UK leads the pack as a holiday destination for booking so far in 2022, (39 per cent of all searches on Holidu are for British destinations), Spain is not far behind with 28 per cent , followed by France and Italy.
At £118, a holiday rental in Croatia is one of the cheapest options you will find this summer, followed by France (£123) and Portugal (£134).
Kos in Greece and the Costa del Sol in Spain are two great choices for those seeking some guaranteed sun with a low price tag.

In Kos, 54 per cent of rentals remain available and cost on average £133. The Costa del Sol is slightly more pricey at £167, and only less than half (47 per cent) of rentals are still available.
Menorca (76 per cent booked), Majorca (69 per cent) and Ibiza (64 per cent) are particularly in demand.
