At the recently finished Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, UAE, the Greek National Tourism Organisation has signed two strategic collaborations with Wego and Qatar Airways.
The declaration was formally presented at a press conference on the GNTO stand arranged by Dimitrios Fragakis, the General Secretary of the GNTO. It comes as the national tourism body tries to showcase Greek tourism all over the region before the summers by emphasizing its outstanding weather conditions and varied experiences on offer all through 2022.
As part of its ongoing commitment, the GNTO is teaming up with Qatar Airways to advertise new direct routes to Greece, offering passengers with flawless connectivity, keen on enjoying one-stop connections.
To become Greece’s third destination to be served by Qatar Airways,
Santorini, the popular Greek destination, will join high-demand flight services to Athens and Mykonos.
Qatar Airways and the GNTO will conduct a media campaign that would create audience awareness in Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia, with prime focus on experiences that only Greece can offer to any traveller. Also, the campaign will aim on potential Australian travellers. From Doha’s Hamad International Airport, the first flight to Santorini is scheduled to depart. Hamad International Airport was voted the best airport of the world in 2021.
Additionally, the new flight services will increase the awesome connectivity that already Greece has with the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
