LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — Long Beach Island is the best summer destination in New Jersey and one of the best in America, according to a report.
Travel site Travel Pulse said “Crowning a summer destination champion in New Jersey is like trying to pick a ski town in Colorado, to say you are spoiled rotten for choice is an understatement.”
LBI was chosen because of its relaxed atmosphere, the report said. “As fun as the boardwalk scene is up and down the Shore,” the laidback beaches and towns netted the island’s spot as NJ’s best, Travel Pulse said.
The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce proudly shared the news. “Take in historic sites, latest trends in independently owned shops and restaurants as well as live performances, concerts and festivals well into the fall,” the chamber said.
“The members of the chamber recognize the importance of a summer vacation, and look forward to welcoming friends and families to this great American travel destination,” the chamber said.
