Phuket’s tourism industry continues to wait and wonder when Mainland Chinese will be allowed to travel overseas, in the wake of China’s zero-Covid policy. As Thailand’s leading resort island moves towards the high season, hoteliers are looking to bridge the China gap and look to new markets to replace the expected lower volume of travel-challenged Russian tourists.
Addressing these challenges is a special half-day workshop on digital marketing for hotels, tourism and travel businesses organized by the Phuket Hotels Association and HSMAI Asia Pacific on 13th September 2022 at the Banyan Tree Phuket. The overarching theme will be how to increase revenue by optimizing a targeted online strategy.
While most social media strategies on social media channels focus on branding, imagery, and public relations, there is limited emphasis on fast-to-market revenue strategies. Post-pandemic, fast-rising competition from Phuket’s destination challengers in nearby Vietnam, Bali, and other regional leisure markets has created a need to quickly address opportunities as they arise. Speed to market in social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is increasingly being viewed as a critical, time-sensitive X-Factor for success.
This half-day learning event will touch on sales, marketing, and revenue areas and provide an update on the latest tools and methods available. A series of expert speakers will cover these topics with a view on how to plan ahead for the coming high season and into 2023 as part of the business planning process.
The venue will be the Banyan Tree Phuket and is being supported by The Thaiger and Travel Daily. It is open to all, free for Phuket Hotel Association and HSMAI members, and THB500 for non-members.
