Bravo’s hit series Below Deck Mediterranean just released its 7th season and fans are already discussing all of the drama.

Faithful viewers of the show just love following their favorite yachties to paradise, whether it be on an island in Southeast Asia or the Caribbean. Here are 5 of the top destinations that you’ve seen on different seasons of Below Deck. If you’re a fan of the reality show, why not check one out on your next trip?

1. Split, Croatia

When the Sirocco first docked in Split in Season 2 of Below Deck Med it put this beautiful destination on the travel radar for lots of viewers.

Located on the Dalmatian Coast, Croatia’s second-largest city is beauty, style, and serenity all in one. Book a stay at a resort hotel by Trstenik beach or spend your days sunning and sporting at Bačvice beach.

After exploring some of the Split’s history in the walkable old town district, walk the Riva boardwalk before sunset before settling in at one of the many restaurants around for dinner and drinks, where you can discuss with your travel buddies “what really happened in Split?”

2. The Bahamas

Season 3 of Below Deck took place in the Abacos, a series of gorgeous islands and cays that are considered the boating capital of the Bahamas. On their stylin’ 161-foot yacht Eros, the crew escaped the winter for stunning sunrises and beach bonfires. The Abacos have plenty of opportunities for diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, and so much more, so take your pick here in paradise.

If you’re tempted for such a trip, the best time to visit are the months of January and February which is right in between the charter season from November to April.

3. Phuket, Thailand

Season 7 of Below Deck kicked off in Phuket, one of the most popular travel destinations in southern Thailand. While sailing on Valor, the yacht used for that season, the crew hit up all the hot spots in this little slice of paradise.

The crew docked at the Ao Po Grand Marina in Phuket which gave our yachties the perfect base in the stunning Phang Nga Bay and indulge in the nightlife culture that the region has become known for in the international travel scene.

Other hot spots from this season of Below Deck included the iconic Koh Phi Phi, the calmer Koh Rang Yai and Koh Yao Yai (Koh means ‘island’ in Thai), as well as Koh Poda Island, a tiny island across the bay off the coast of Krabi where you’ll find white sand beaches and turquoise waters all around.

4. Mallorca, Spain

Remember Season 5 of Below Deck Med when Captain Sandy and her crew head to Mallorca on The Wellington?

Located off the east coast of Spain in the beautiful Balearic Islands, you can re-create the crew’s adventures by starting in the tiny town of El Toro (the location of Port Adriano) where you can shop and dine in style.

Then, take a drive one hour north to explore (and even stay a while) in the picturesque coastal towns of Sóller and Deià. After you’ve gotten your culture fix, head back down to Palma for some sunny days and fun nights out hitting up the city’s best rooftop bars.

5. Malta

The latest season of Below Deck Mediterranean premiered on July 11th on Bravo and the drama continues! Season 7 is filmed on location in Malta, a European island in the Meditteranean Sea. Captain Sandy leads the way on Home, this season’s yacht, as the crew navigates the world of super yachting.

“Exploring the Maltese islands by yacht is like sailing through 7,000 years of history. With approximately 122 miles of coastline, Malta’s clear blue sea allows yachting guests to enjoy beautiful, secluded beaches, an abundance of reefs, stunning caverns and caves,” said Michelle Buttigieg, Malta’s Tourism Authority Representative for North America.

Malta is a destination with plenty to offer, whether you’re a history and architecture buff or a beachgoer who loves the outdoors.

And Malta is even more of a tempting destination now that the Covid-related entry restrictions have finally been lifted.
