Travel marketplace company Skyscanner has revealed the top destinations for travellers from the UAE and Saudi Arabia during the summer – including cities such as Cairo, Istanbul, and London.
According to data, Saudi bookings in May for travel this July and August have increased by 325 percent compared to bookings done in April. In the UAE, bookings were up by 156 percent in the same period.
Skyscanner’s travel expert, Ayoub El Mamoun, said: “As travel restrictions have eased and traveller confidence returns, we’ve witnessed a travel revival with pent-up demand turning into millions of travellers enjoying their much longed for trips again.
The upcoming Eid holiday has also spurred bookings, the Skyscanner report showed, particularly in the week commencing July 4.
