Tunisia has been ranked top travel destination at the African and Arab levels and fourth globally among the most popular for French tourists, the Ministry of Tourism announced Thursday.
The ministry quoted the Barometer of destinations carried out by leisure platform Orchestra for L’Echo touristique (French website specializing in tourism, travel and entertainment).
The classification was made on the basis of sales of tour operators made in French offline and online agencies in April 2022.
The Ministry said sales for the Tunisian destination in France saw a 22% increase in April 2022, compared to the same period in 2019 (before the coronavirus pandemic), reflecting the beginnings of tourism recovery.
