With Singapore opening again for tourists, the island state has tapped actor and comedian Victor Anastacio to promote it in a video campaign series titled “VicTour Singapore.”
As seen on Aubrey Carampel’s “24 Oras Weekend” report Sunday, among the places the Kapuso actor has already explored in Singapore is the famous Orchard Road.
But instead of just featuring the traditional and elite stores that it’s known for, especially among tourists and shoppers, he focused on activities that would let visitors experience more of the culture.
“[There are lots of] hole in the wall places [where] you can mix with the locals and the tourists and those who work there. [Its vibe is different]. It’s very progressive and young,” he said.
Singapore has started welcoming Pinoys who are fully vaccinated again through the Singapore Tourism Board’s program called Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), which doesn’t require quarantine.
Interested travelers just need to apply for a travel pass through Singapore’s website and complete their requirements at least three days before their scheduled trip. — Franchesca Viernes/BM, GMA News
