The artist goes on to share, “Black culture is loud and animated, and loud is just fine. Loud isn’t always aggression; it’s excitement, it’s expression, it’s happiness. Black culture is laughing so hard, you smack the person who said whatever is funny. Black culture is talking smack, and roasting one another (out of fun) to cope with the bad stuff, toughen up, and get it out on the table. Black culture is taking what you have, and building something better with it.”
