With Spring officially here, many are eager to head out for a much-needed change in scenery and relax with friends and family. To celebrate the start of the spring season, we’ve rounded up the top spring break travel destinations to shake off the winter blues.

To rank the top spring break destinations, our Data Science team looked at consumer interest in the hotel and travel categories to determine cities which saw the highest growth among the ones that received higher activity levels than the national average during the traditional Spring Break travel period (March 2021 vs March 2020). To identify the must-book things to do, we looked at search interest in outdoor activities.

Bradenton, Florida

Located between Sarasota and Tampa, spring breakers in Bradenton are searching Yelp for places to wakeboard, wind surf and of course, golf. If you’re new to the green, don’t you worry.  The Fish Hole is one of the most popular spots for mini-golf. In addition to 18 holes, they’ve also got a 3,000 gallon Koi pond on the property, which is exactly why their party packages include…well, fish food.  Either way, we promise you’ll be hooked.

Jackson, Wyoming

If you love adventure, then Jackson might just be the perfect destination for you with rafting and tubing being some of the most popular activities among spring breakers. If you’re planning a trip to Jackson, make sure to check out Jackson Hole Whitewater. This top rated, family-owned business has been around since 1963 and offers such a fun variety of adventure packages to provide you with ample opportunity to hang on and enjoy the rapids.

Prescott, Arizona

Adrenaline rush seekers should look no further than Prescott, AZ. Visitors to Prescott are searching Yelp to find the best places for mountain biking, many of which are finding Prescott National Forest offers over 450 miles of scenic trails to explore. So whether you’re new to mountain biking or a seasoned pro, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of the best mountain biking in the Southwest.

Santa Barbara, California

From its majestic mountains to picturesque beaches, it’s no surprise that interest in Santa Barbara is up 122% year over year, with surfing being a popular spring break activity. If riding the waves is of interest to you, then you’ll love iSurf, a women-owned business with a 5 star Yelp rating that offers surf lessons for all ages. They even offer e-foil, which is surfing with an electric propeller, allowing you to move through just about any kind of water. How cool is that?
