Popularly known as “Paradise on Earth,” Kashmir is visited by hundreds of tourists throughout the year.

Known for its stunning lakes, magnificent snow-clad mountains, and green meadows, this magical land is also a delight for adventure enthusiasts.

However, if you want to spend a peaceful time away from the usual crowded tourist spots, then visit some of these offbeat destinations in Kashmir this year.

Located in the Shangus district of South Kashmir, Chatpal is a hidden gem with a pristine landscape.

You can spend hours here gazing at the mesmerizing mountains, lush green meadows, and yellow and white wildflowers.

Take a walk through the apple and walnut orchards here to soak in nature.

Some nearby places you can visit from here are Aharbal Waterfall, Martand Temple, and Sonmarg.

Situated in the Kupwara district between Kashmir and Neelam Valley, Lolab Valley is a beautiful isolated location to relax and rejuvenate.

The oval-shaped valley is surrounded by dense forests, beautiful lakes, orchards, green meadows, and springs that add to the beauty of the place.

An ancient stone-carved architecture called Satbaran is found here which is believed to have been constructed by the Pandavas.

Located in the middle of Breng Valley and Kishtwar in the Anantnag district, Sinthan Top is a mountain pass that is another offbeat tourist spot in Kashmir.

The place is ideal for trying out adventure sports like skiing, trekking, and mountaineering.

When here, go to the “360 Degree View” spot which offers an amazing view of the Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

Bangus Valley is an untouched and unexplored place in Kashmir that is sure to charm you with its mesmerizing surroundings.

Situated at an elevation of 10,000 feet in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir, the picturesque valley is surrounded by springs, green meadows, and dense pine forests.

The Valley produces a premium quality of grass that is believed to have medicinal properties.

Watlab is situated about 56 kilometers from Srinagar on the Sopore-Bandipora road.

Many people describe this place as “real Kashmir,” as you get to witness the magical land in its purest form surrounded by picturesque apple orchards.

When here, don’t forget to visit the gorgeous Wular Lake and a popular Muslim shrine dedicated to a Muslim mystic named Baba Shukurddin.
