The nation is gearing up to enjoy the first Easter without Covid restrictions in two years, with 47 per cent of Britons taking an Easter holiday, according to new research by Travelodge. And as the weather is set to be hotter than Italy this Easter, one of the places hundreds of people will be flocking to this Easter is Clacton-on-Sea.

Clacton-on-Sea is one of the most popular coastal destinations for Easter this year with Britons’ set to spend £13 billion on the UK hospitality industry boosting the Clacton-on-Sea economy. The average holidaymaker visiting Clacton this Easter is expected to spend on average £322.69 and will be taking a four-day break, according to the Travelodge research.

Collectively Britons are expected to boost the UK economy by £13 billion via their Eastercation breaks. These findings have been revealed in the first segment of the 2022 Travelodge Travel Index. The hotel chain surveyed 2,000 British adults to find out their Easter holiday plans and found the top ten coastal destinations Brits are visiting for Easter this year.
