24 tourism companies from Ireland took part in Tourism Ireland’s “Outdoor and Adventure Virtual Expo” for Australia and New Zealand on Thursday 14 April.

The “Outdoor and Adventure Virtual Expo” was an online B2B tourism event, organised by Tourism Ireland to allow the tourism companies from Ireland to connect with approximately 35 Australian and New Zealand travel agents and tour operators.

Tourism Ireland facilitated, via an online system, a series of one-to-one, pre-scheduled video appointments. The aim was to showcase Ireland’s outdoor and adventure tourism offering to these travel professionals, and to highlight that Ireland is open for business again and that it cannot wait to welcome back visitors from Australia and New Zealand.

Tourism Ireland’s manager for Australia and New Zealand, Sofia Hansson, stated, “Tourism Ireland was delighted that 35 Australian and New Zealand travel advisors took the time to join us, and our partners from Ireland, for our ‘Outdoor and Adventure Virtual Expo’. It was a great way to highlight our land and water-based activities like hiking, cycling and kayaking, as well as our superb outdoor experiences and attractions.

“Our key message for the Australian and New Zealand travel advisors is that Ireland is open for business again and we cannot wait to welcome their clients back to our shores for a fantastic holiday experience.”
