Does travel make you tired?

For most of us, the answer is yes. But now a number of hotels have embraced sleep tourism — the idea that you are actually going on vacation to improve your sleep habits.

Some hotels offer sleep suites. Other hotels offer sleep centric, sound-proof rooms.

And there’s even a hotel in Portugal called a Sleep Spa hotel with special mattresses, helping people book their vacations — not based on destination — but on the ability simply to sleep well.

One clinical study reports that 40% of travelers reported a reduction in their sleep quality since the start of the pandemic.
