There’s a misconception floating around that people who like to vacation in Central Florida don’t care about the cost when it comes to going on a getaway. But a majority of tourists who visit the Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort say price and value are very important.

The misconception is understandable when you consider that for a family of four, a Disney World vacation can cost between $5,000 and $10,000, depending on where they stay, what they eat, and which experiences they enjoy. Other trips to the Disney Parks can cost more than $10,000 for larger families.

But cost is only one factor to consider when looking at the overall picture of a vacation. Value plays a huge role as well–what are you getting for the cost you’re willing to pay?

A survey recently conducted by SavingSpot looked at TripAdvisor reviews of vacation destinations and tourist spots around the world as they pertain to value. The survey looked at different types of tourist spots, such as architectural buildings, art galleries, castles, gardens, historic sites, museums, theme parks, water parks, sightseeing tours, zoos, and aquariums, and compiled a list of spots offering the worst value to visitors.

The survey looked at which locations consumers felt were a waste of money based on the cost of admission, gifts, and other “peripheral costs.”

Universal has started construction on its newest theme park, Epic Universe, and from what we know about it so far, it will indeed be epic.
